CPRT01A Cabling Provider Rules Transition - AS/ACIF S009:2001 to S009:2006

Module Purpose

To provide the Participant with an understanding and interpretation of the changes to the Cabling Provider Rules (CPRs) as defined in AS/ACIF S009:2006 and how these changes relate to the previous CPRs established under AS/ACIF S009:2001.

The requirement to ensure all telecommunications, security, lift and fire alarm cabling is installed according to the new CPRs cannot be over emphasised.  Cablers have a legally enforceable obligation to cable in accordance with the new rules for all installations commenced on or after 1 July, 2006.
